"Bodega Vieja"

Due to the necessity of space to be able to store bottles during its ageing process, D. Pedro López de Heredia, third generation of the family, sacrified part of the "barrel vault" of the cellar called "Bodega Vieja" and turned it into a bottlellery or "Bodega of Reservas", name with which the more selected wines were designated before they were called Grandes Reservas.

The bottles stored in this cellar are today covered in fungus, created by the passage of time. This fungus maintains a constant humidity level and is the absolute guaranty of the antiquity of the wines and living example of the history of our family.
